I've given myself a target of living on $7000 a year this means that I've got $583 per month. I'm determined to stand by this target as I need to save and pay off my debts. I'm really tired with my life of excess fueled by credit cards and loans. If I can live on $7000 this year I can pay off all my debts and hopefully learn a few things on the way. This is a frugal site so please give me some ideas. This money has to cover everything from rent, food, clothes and travel. If I can have a bit left over for entertainment then that's even better please help, please share anything that will help me achieve my goal.

I've just found a blog called early retirement extreme where the owner lives for about £6k per year. The owner is financially independent and saved money 80% of his income in his early years so he could amass enough capital so that 4% of the income generated would be enough to cover the cost of living. He has a book written on the subject which he sells via his site. This blog by Jacob Lund Frisk is well worth checking out. I've also posted the book and review below. Hope this helps.
