Can you get a student loan for a certificate program? I'm confused, will filling out a FAFSA determine whether or not I'm eligible for grants and Federal Student Loans. I know that most student loans are for people who want to do a degree so how do I know I will be eligible for a student loan for a certificate program. Basically what I'm looking for is a certificate program where I can get Federal Student Loans or Federal Grants. So to be crystal clear can you get a student loan for a certificate program?

From my experience Certificate Programs have the characteristics of a college graduate degree however not all programs are eligible for Federal Student Aid.
