Can you get financial aid for certificate programs? need money quickly

Can you get financial aid for certificate programs? I'm thinking of going back to school because the qualification I have don't seem to be enough to get a job with career prospects. I'm now looking for a certificate program which is eligible for financial aid. I know that some certificate programs and ineligible for aid so is there a way to find out or is there a list of certificate programs which are eligible for financial aid. I will get enrolled into a U.S. Department of Education Approved certificate program, is this enough to be eligible for $10,500 in Federal Direct Stafford Loan? Please shed some light.
