I have been looking at ways to cut back on costs for Thanksgiving, and came across some articles to share. One important thing to keep in mind is if you're having a lot of people over, ask everyone to bring something to share the costs, and remember how expensive booze is. Sure, it might be necessary, but that's what usually adds up.

Would love to hear any other ideas people have.

One of those articles mentioned using frozen veggies/fruits because they're cheaper and I read somewhere recently that these can actually have more nutrition than fresh produce because they usually get frozen right after they're picked which is when they have the most nutrients and as things stay out they lose some of their value. Not sure if that is 100% true, but if frozen fruits and veggies do actually have more nutritional value, then all the better as far as I'm concerned cause they're cheaper and whatever you don't use you can just re-freeze.

I'm a fan of only making enough and not overdoing it. I know Thanksgiving is all about pigging out, but I have seen so many years where there is twice as much food as necessary. I think my taking stock of exactly how many people are coming and planning accordingly, you can waste less food and therefore money. Also, maybe it's a good idea to have a quick dish in mind that you can put together quickly in case there doesn't look like enough as everything comes together rather than making a bunch of things beforehand?
