I'm interested about asking millionaires for money. They way I see it is they have lots of money which they no longer need, I have little money and I need more. So I suppose the best way to redistribute wealth is to ask billionaires like Warren Buffett for help. Has anyone actually tried asking Warren Buffett for help and what's the best way to contact him. I know it's a longshot but I just wanted to find out if he's willing to help the average person who is in need. Thanks in advance for sharing your stories.

Warren Buffett is the 4th richest man in the world with an estimated net worth of just under $70 Billion. The billionaire has actually donated most of his money to charity the lion share going to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. If you want a piece of Buffett's money then you could try contacting the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation below.

Some of the money also goes to Warren buffett's late wife Foundation called the Susan Buffett Scholarship Foundation. I have included the contact details below if you want to contact the billionaire philanthropists through his late wife's foundation.

You could try and contact Warren Buffett via the Berkshire Hathaway contact details. I guess you would need to address the letter or email for Warren Buffett. I'm sure these emails are vetted so to stand a real chance of getting through to the billionaire philanthropist you need to be genuine and open. Hope this helps.

You could try following him on Twitter and retweeting his messages so you get noticed. Eventually you could even tweet to him if he becomes a follower. Its worth a try and its worked for other people

One way to get in touch with the Billionaire is to buy shares in Berkshire Hathaway. Once you have the stock you will be invited to the annual general meeting for Berkshire Hathaway which is hosted by Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. You just might have the opportunity to meet the dynamic due and get a minute of their time.

Not sure how creditable the source is as I found it on Answers.com. According to the site Warren Buffett's residential address is as follows.

    Warren Buffett
    5505 Farnam Street
    Omaha NE 68132
    Nebraska State
    United States of America

If you are planning to send letters to Warren Buffett try marking it Strictly Private & Confidential so it reaches him without being opened. Hope this helps.

Everyone has an email address these days so it might be worth trying permutations of Warren Buffett so you can guess his email address. I would start with Hotmail, Gmail and Ymail and then try permutations of his name such as

    Warren.Buffett
    W.Buffett

You might eventually get through to him. I think Warren Buffett donates most of his money to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The best way to get access to some money would be to form a non profit organization and then hire a grant writer to apply for some of the funds they hold. It can be done, good luck.

I just noticed than Warren Buffett has a Facebook account. I am not 100 percent certain it belongs to him so this strategy which I am about to reveal may be hit or miss. You could try sending a friend request to Warren Buffett's Facebook account. I have noticed that friend requests are accepted quite quickly. Once you've become friends you could start commenting on his post. By commenting I mean leaving high quality comments to get you noticed. Once you become a regular commentator you could perhaps start asking direct questions or even asking for monetary help. Really hope this helps.

Some really far out suggestions here. I'm not really sure that Warren Buffett will make a personal donation if someone asks for help. One way to get help from the Oracle of Omaha would be to look at the charities supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Warren Buffett has pledged to give away 99% of his wealth during his lifetime to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. You can research on the Foundations website to see all the grants they are offering and then align yourself towards the program. In the US the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation place a lot of emphasise on education and offer support to postsecondary students who need help to continue with their studies. If you fall into this category there is a good chance you could get help.

I agree, its very unlikely you'll get a response from someone like Warren Buffett, I may be wrong but the likelihood is low. Finding charitable programs run by these millionaires and billionaires is definitely the right way to go about things. You could even contact the Susan Buffett Foundation which supports education and teachers to see the grants they offer and then align yourself with that charity.

I'm not sure if Warren Buffett has a real Facebook account as there are lots of copycats trying to profit from the billionaire philanthropist. I do know that his Twitter account is legitimate as it was announced on Bloomberg when he first opened the account. I think the best bet would be to contact the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation and find any programs that may support your hardship. I don't really think contacting The Susan Buffett Foundation or Berkshire Hathaway will help. Good Luck everone.
