Help a friend in need

Hi there,

I have a very strange request that you may or may not have been given before.

I would like to request help for an amazing lady; she's been diagnosed with stage four cancer and has been informed it is terminal. Precisely 2 years ago, she had been given 2 years to live.

After travelling to Germany (from the UK), she had undergone experimental treatment through immunotherapy. The treatment has dramatically improved her way of life and has even reduced the tumour size by 50%.

My reason in asking for help is due to the amount of money the treatment is costing. She has sold her house, car and belongings to raise money for treatment. They're still unfortunately £140,000 short and therefore I've made a huge effort with fundraising at work and selling donated merchandise in auctions to pay for further treatment and remission.

A gofundme page has been set up which I can happily link below. So far £60,000 was raised to help treatments but now the money has been spent;even with everyone pulling together we are struggling. She needs £35,000 in the next 3 weeks.

My fundraisers will take place in a few weeks time but I cannot say how desperate this treatment is.

I'm not expecting much, I'd love to say £250,000 so she could pay for treatment and put a deposit back on a house again; having said this, I'm realistic. I'm more than grateful even if its donations of possessions for an auction I plan to do. This lady is amazingly strong willed and after seeing my own family go through this terrible disease, it breaks my heart knowing there's treatment that's genuinely working but isn't affordable. Anything that can be offered, no matter how little will be of great significance.
