How Do You Pitch A Business Idea To Companies For Funding

I'm looking for ways to pitch my business idea to private companies. I feel like this might be a better path than looking for individuals. Has anyone tried that approach?

Then you need to ask yourself how much money you are trying to raise, why you need money, etc. I'm assuming you have a plan? Do you have a pitch deck.
