I have an invention idea what do i do next?

First step is to check if the invention exists elsewhere. I've had so many invention ideas but when I've done the research I've found it always exists so there was no point pursuing it unless you can make an improvement on it.

For unique ideas I would try to get a patent pending so that no one can copy the idea. You should also build a prototype of the invention to see how effective it is.

You then have two options. You can either choose a company to make your invention a reality where you get royalties for sale, or you could try and take the invention to market by producing it and then selling it on to distributors.
