I have lost everything but my talent has so much to offer the world!

Hi, my name is Nick Ruffolo. I am a recovering drug addict. I struggled with a horrible addiction for about 10 years. My father did everything he could for me but I completely destroyed him emotionally along with everyone else around me. I was homeless for a very long time but now I have finally got back on my feet. I have been clean for quite some time now and I think that I can use a little help if possible.

I have been writing a poetry book that tells the story of my addiction for about 7 or 8 years. It is called A Distorted Reality and I have been told that my work is absolutely amazing. My goal is to shed a light on the horrible disease of drug addiction and the book explores many themes such as Innocence, Love, Regret, Loss, Pain, Isolation, Insanity, and Existentialism.

The best part of this book is the way it ends. I am hoping that it will change people's lives and warn them about the dangers of drugs. Also, I am a very versatile musician and I can create many different types of music. I finally started a new band called The Silent but am having trouble finding other musicians. I just had to let my rhythm guitarist go because he did not contribute at all to the writing, I wrote EVERYTHING and he is also struggling with addiction and I couldn't deal with it anymore.

I tried to help him. I have been forced to remove a great number of people from my life and I have been so alone. My creativity is my outlet and my way of dealing with my demons. I also create electronic music under the alias Disco Bloodbath. The problem is my Macbook Pro was stolen from me and I basically lost all the original versions of my songs and a lot of my book. I have been forced to start over completely but fortunately some of my music is still on Soundcloud and many of my poems were on a poetry website. I will not lie to you, my Macbook was stolen but as for everything else; all my musical equipment and belongings of value were sold by me in the midst of my addiction.

I have been trying to find a job and I hope to find one soon but I no longer live in downtown Chicago because it is too expensive. I live in the northern suburbs and transportation is an issue due to my license being revoked for a DUI about 9 months ago right before I got clean. I am NOT asking for cash. All I ask is that you check out my work and decide for yourself.

What I am requesting is that someone helps me obtain musical equipment to fulfill my dream and give me something to offer back to the world in which I so arrogantly took advantage of. If that means someone ordering it for me and sending it here because you do not trust me with cash I totally understand. My book will be complete sometime in the next few months and I am also requesting help in finding an investor/publisher to help publish my work and get it out to the masses so I can start making a difference and saving lives.
