Rents are rising all the time. If you have a family to support and have a low income then you might be eligible for help. Many people ask how to get help with rent for low income families and there are ways that you can get financial assistance. If you are struggling then don’t struggle in silence. Put the need of your family first and take the first step towards getting help.

The first thing that you need to do is create a budget and clearly outline what your income is as well as your expenditure. Try and make as many cutbacks as you can and only spend on essential items. If you smoke then try giving up, finding small savings usually add up at the end of the month.

Now look at your income and see if there is any way you can increase this. If there is a way to increase your income through overtime or promotion then you need to do this. Once you have cut your waste and increased your income and you still need help with your rent you can get help.

The UK government provides help towards rent through a scheme called housing benefit. If you have a family and are on a low income and need help towards housing costs then you need to fill out an application form which is available on the Direct Gov Website. If you are eligible then you will get assistance towards your rent.

If you live in the US there are similar programs where the government has a discretionary fund for families in need. What you need to do is contact your local government representative and explain that you need help towards your housing costs. Assistance varies from state to state.

If the government are unable to help then you can turn to many charities and organisations like The Samaritans and The Salvation army who can help you on a monthly basis is you can prove that you really need the money. This is where the budget comes in and if they can see you are doing your utmost and still need help they will intervene. Make a list of all the local charities that are willing to help and contact them one by one, if you do qualify then you will receive help towards your rent.

You can also try contacting rich and wealthy people who like to help. People like Oprah Winfrey are really generous when it comes to financial assistance when it comes to helping people in need. Again if you can prove that the money will make a difference and you are taking strides to improve your financial position then they will usually pay up. You can contact rich celebrities through their websites and personal blogs.

If you live in a really expensive area then you might want to consider moving to somewhere where the rent rates are not as high. I met a couple once who moved a mile to another borough and saved up to 40%. They key is finding the right property at the right price. If by moving you can save $300 then imagine how that money would come in handy.

Whatever you do you must remember that help is at hand. You need to sort your finances out to begin with and then look for assistance from the government and then charities. Take as many strides as you can to lower your rental costs by moving and always look for ways to increase your income for the future. With a little patience and perseverance you can improve your lifestyle.

From time to time everyone experiences financial difficulties & arrears, there's nothing to be ashamed of if you need financial aid for rent. If you are falling back on your rent then you might be asking who can help me pay my rent and bills? When you're experiencing financial difficulties you might be obliged to think that there's no one wants to help or you might be embarrassed to ask. However, if you can find financial assistance then you will be on the road to recovery and able to offer a better quality of life for yourself and your family. Rest assured there are many programs available for low-income families who need emergency rent assistance.

Find Rental Assistance Programs - Senior Citizen Rent Assistance

The first thing you should do is check if there are any government programs in your country that will give assistance in paying your rent and deposit. If you can contact your local authority and seek any financial assistance then they can offer you advice and let you know if you're eligible for any benefits. Senior citizens will be more eligible for help paying rent as they fall into a higher risk category.

    Help With Housing

In the UK the government provides housing benefits if you can't afford to meet the payments for your rent or mortgage. If you don't have regular income coming in and no savings then there are a few welfare benefits to help with bills and rent. The government also have emergency housing if you become homeless and I urge you to get in contact with your local authority for more information.

In the US there is something called the Section 521 rental assistance program from the Housing Act of 1949. If there are homeowners who have bought their property under section 515 or 514, they may be eligible for Rural Housing Service rental assistance.

Getting Help With Rent Payments - Contact Churches & Synagogues

Another place you can try for help towards paying your rent are places like Churches and Synagogues. These places of worship usually have a discretionary fund that help low-income people who need some help with their rent arrears and deposit. If you can make a list of all your local places of worship, then contact them individually then you can find out if they can offer you some help or give you a solution to your problem.

Places That Can Help Me Pay My Rent - Contact Charities

There are also many charity organisations that you can try to contact. The Salvation Army and Christian aid regularly offer help and advise on how you can get financial assistance and help towards paying your rent. Try going to their website and sending them an email explaining your financial situation and see what kind of response you can get. Sometimes they offer to meet you and then take it from there.

Help With Rent and Bills - Ask Friends & Families

Try asking your family and friends if they have a spare room that they can offer you or whether they're prepared to pay a fraction of the rent in exchange for some living space. By sharing the cost of living you can have breathing space for your finances. Even if they're not ready to live in your apartment offer them some sort of storage space or place an ad in the local paper offering some cheap space so you can generate some income.

While you are looking for financial assistance towards your rent you should also see if you can increase your income somehow. Look to so if you can get a raise on your current job or even a promotion.

If there are no career prospects then look for another job which pays more money or there is more scope to progress. Look for other ways to increase your income either on the internet or places like Ebay.com and Gumtree.com which will help towards expenses. Whatever you do you need to stay calm and carry on and look for help.
