I'm on the minimum wage how can i save money? need advice pls

I'm living on the minimum wage and I always have trouble making ends meet. I know other people who are in a similar situation and they always seem to have money leftover at the end of the month to save. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on how to save money while living on the minimum wage. I prepared to change my habits because at the moment I'm living paycheck to paycheck and its not a very nice feeling.

Living on the minimum wage is one of the hardest things you might have to do in your life, at the moment I am on the minimum wage of £6.08 per hour on a 30 hour contract, sometimes people have to feed their family and pay their bills with only the money they earn, many people often ask themselves how to save money making the minimum wage and there are several ways you can do this and survive as well as flourish.

Make a budget

You need to create a budget and stick with it, only spend within your means and don’t use credit as it will be hard to pay the money back, if you earn $1000 per month then use the money wisely, have a breakdown of all the most important expenses such as rent and food and then factor in everything else. By creating a financial budget you can really improve your finances, you can allocate money for essential goods and service and avoid any unnecessary spending.

Living costs

As the cost of living in a property is one of your biggest expenses you need to figure out a way to reduce this monthly outgoing, try to find accommodation that is cheaper and negotiate with your landlord so that they can lower your rate while taking into account your circumstances. You can also consider sharing with someone as this will half your rent or you can rent rooms out if you have spare ones, all in all you can save up 30 to 50% using these little steps alone.

If you are paying a mortgage then consider remortgaging to get a better deal, with interest rate so low you can really snap up a bargain from these banks.

3. Always buy when there is a special offer or a substantial discount and buy in bulk for the rest of the year.
4. Use as many coupons and vouchers as you can find and always haggle for discounts
5. Find as many markets as you can and compare prices.

Asking for help

If you finding it impossible to survive on the minimum wage then you can see if you are eligible for help, there are many places that you can go to where people can advise you on how to proceed. In the UK the government provides a welfare system where if your income is lower than what is required to support your family they will intervene and provide you with the difference, check if you are eligible for these benefits as they will really help to make a difference in your life.

Look towards charities and organisations that help people on low income, many organisations have a discretionary fund where they can help people who are struggling to make ends meet. You can also try writing letters to people such as millionaires and celebrities who are often inclined to help not only for publicity but also to do a good deed, any money that you don’t use can go towards your savings and future.

Find alternative ways

If you are really struggling on the minimum wage to save money you can always find ways to make more money, see what kind of progression is available at the place you work and make a action plan to step up and go into management, try studying for a qualifications that will really boost your chances of securing a better paid job.

You can also look for alternative ways to make additional money, on the internet for example many people are making a decent living by writing online or creating a useful blog or selling on ebay.com; remember to make money on the internet you need to make it a better place so do not spam with the aim of making a killing fast as it will come back to bite you.

Your local authority may ask to see a breakdown of your income and expenses to determine how close you are to the bread line. If you do not have any savings then you need to let them know, usually families who have little or no disposable income or savings are eligible for this grant.

You may also consider getting in touch with local charities and churches to see whether they can spare any donation money that they have set aside. Most charities have a discretionary fund to allocate money to needy families. What you need to do is arrange a meeting with the person who runs the charity and ask them if they can provide you with any appliances or money for appliances. You need to actively search these sites so you can pick up one of these bargains quickly. As always do not despair when you are struggling financially, do not suffer alone and always look for a way out.

I feel for you, I was in a very similar position a few years back but there is light at the end of the tunnel. If you are on a low income and have a family then there might be a lot of help that is available for you. You might not realise it but there is a lot of help available out there. I have been on a very income when I was made redundant and I survived with a family while working on the minimum wage. The first thing that you need to do is help yourself. I remember browsing the internet trying to find ways to become rich only to see myself fall on my face. I later resorted to other ways to supplement my income. My first step was to make a budget and then stick to it. I then looked at all the benefits that I was entitled to and contacted local charities and discretionary funds from local businesses and philanthropists. I found that whenever I needed some clothes or appliance they were always there he help me.

I found the best help that I could get for myself was to help myself out of poverty. I was working at a retail store and decided that enough was enough and looked at realistic ways that I could bolster my income. I decided that I was going to retrain myself as a teacher and applied for a maths teaching course. Fortunately I was successful and received a scholarship grant for £9000 which really helped me with my finances. I also started providing weekly tuition for my local mosque. I also continued to work once a week and overall my finances was in a better state.

Another way I started to bolster my income was to write on places like infobarrel and xomba, I also created my own blog to see if I could make some extra passive income. At the moment I am making $50 per month which is really coming in handy. I expect to continue writing about 5 articles per day on my smart phone when I have spare time and then upload them on infobarrel. At the moment I have about 200 articles which is yielding me $50, I am targeting to write at least 100 articles per month which means by next December I should have 1300 articles and earn about $300 per month.

I learnt from my experience that there is always a way out of poverty for low income families. You need to start by helping yourself. Once you start to budget your finances you will start to feel much better. Look for ways to cut costs and then look for ways you can increase your income. You will find that if you strive everyday then you will get yourself out of poverty.

Giới thiệu cuộc thi

Nhằm tạo môi trường, điều kiện để sum hiệp, học trò, sinh viên có nhịp được tìm hiểu, trải nghiệm các giá trị văn hóa truyền thống của dân tộc, qua đó nâng cao ý thức, nghĩa vụ của sum họp, học sinh, sinh viên trong việc bảo tồn, phát huy, giữ gìn bản sắc văn hóa dân tộc; đồng thời là hoạt động cụ thể, thiết thực của Đoàn TNCS Hồ Chí Minh trong việc thực hành đích “giữ giàng, phát huy các giá trị truyền thống lịch sử, văn hóa của dân tộc Việt Nam; tăng cường kết đoàn dân tộc, kết đoàn đạo trong thực hiện các đích phát triển kinh tế - xã hội và bảo vệ Tổ quốc” - Đề án tương trợ thông báo, tuyên truyền về dân tộc, đạo của Thủ tướng Chính phủ, Ban bí thơ Trung ương Đoàn ban hành Kế hoạch về việc tổ chức cuộc thi sáng tác video clip "Tinh hoa Việt Nam".

Thể lệ cuộc thi

I. Đối tượng, nội dung

1. Đối tượng dự thi: học sinh, sinh viên Việt Nam hoặc nhóm học trò, sinh viên Việt Nam (01 nhóm không quá 05 người) đang học tập tại các trường THPT, TTGDNN-GDTX, các cơ sở giáo dục nghề, các đại học, trường đại học, học viện, cao đẳng ở trong và ngoài nước.

2. Nội dung: Giới thiệu nét đẹp văn hóa truyền thống của các dân tộc ở Việt Nam.

II. thời kì, Hình thức dự thi

1. Thời gian tổ chức:
- phát động cuộc thi: Ngày 5/8/2021 (Thứ Năm).
- thời kì nhận bài thi: Từ ngày 16/8 đến hết ngày 10/10/2021 ( 8 tuần).
- Vòng công chiếu: Từ ngày 23/8 đến hết ngày 17/10/2021 ( 8 tuần).
- Lễ tổng kết và trao giải cuộc thi: dự định cuối tháng 10/2021.

2. đề nghị về tác phẩm dự thi:
- Một tác giả hoặc nhóm tác giả có thể thực hành nhiều clip TikTok với nội dung khác nhau gửi dự Cuộc thi.
- Clip TikTok phải đảm bảo các điều kiện sau:
+ Tác phẩm dự thi có thể tự quay hoặc biên tập, dựng phim từ hình ảnh, video clip có sẵn (hình ảnh, video clip phải có cội nguồn rõ ràng; nếu dùng của tác giả khác phải có sự đồng ý của tác giả đó).
+ Hình ảnh, nội dung câu chữ phải phù hợp với chủ đề cuộc thi, không được trái thuần phong mỹ tục và văn hóa Việt Nam; không tuyên truyền mê tín dị đoan, không diễn đạt các lễ nghi, các tôn giáo chưa được luật pháp công nhận.
+ Clip không vi phạm bản quyền, không vi phạm pháp luật Việt Nam, chưa từng tham gia dự thi Cuộc thi khác; có thể sử dụng các tư liệu lịch sử có nguồn cội minh bạch, chuẩn xác.
+ Có tiêu đề song ngữ Anh – Việt.
+ Mỗi tác phẩm phải kèm theo lời bình (Khuyến khích cộng điểm nếu có lời bình bằng Tiếng Anh có phụ đề Tiếng Việt hoặc lời bình bằng Tiếng Việt có phụ đề Tiếng Anh).
+ Clip không được đặt watermark (không được ghi ký hiệu đè lên hình ảnh), không được xuất hiện ảnh ảnh, logo của các nhãn hàng, doanh nghiệp với mục đích truyền bá thương hiệu;
+ Tác giả/nhóm tác giả phải lưu giữ file gốc để đối chiếu trong trường hợp được vào xét trao giải.

3. Hình thức dự thi:
3.1. Vòng công chiếu:
- Tác giả/ nhóm tác giả truy cập website Cuộc thi tại địa chỉ www.tinhhoavietnam.doanthanhnien.vn , chọn mục "Gửi bài thi" và làm theo các bước được hướng dẫn tại Website. Thời gian nhận sản phẩm dự thi trong 8 tuần từ ngày 16/8 đến ngày 10/10/2021.
- Hàng tuần (từ 23/8/2021 đến 17/10/2021), Ban Giám khảo Cuộc thi sẽ tiến hành giám định, đăng tải các clip TikTok hợp thức lên TikTok Tinh Hoa Việt Nam để thao gia vòng công chiếu.
- Các sản phẩm hợp lệ được dự vòng công chiếu sẽ có 1 tuần để bình chọn online trên nền móng TikTok Tinh Hoa Việt Nam. Mỗi tuần, 1 clip TikTok có tổng điểm bình chọn online cao nhất sẽ được trao giải tuần (cách chấm điểm được quy định cụ thể tại mục 4.1).
3.2. Vòng chung khảo:
- Sau 8 tuần diễn ra vòng công chiếu, các clip TikTok được chọn lọc để bình chọn ở vòng công chiếu sẽ dự vòng chung khảo.
- Các tác phẩm lọt vào vòng chung khảo sẽ tiếp chuyện được bình chọn trên website www.tinhhoavietnam.doanthanhnien.vn bằng cách click "bình chọn (vote)" vào dưới mỗi clip. Mỗi người chỉ được bình chọn 1 lần cho 1 sản phẩm dự thi.
- cứ kết quả bình chọn và đánh giá tổng thể chất lượng các video, clip (theo tỷ lệ điểm bình chọn chiếm 30%, điểm Ban Giám khảo chiếm 70% tổng số điểm), Ban giám khảo sẽ quyết định các sản phẩm trao giải thưởng Cuộc thi (cách tính điểm được quy định cụ thể tại mục 4.2).
- Ban Tổ chức Cuộc thi sẽ tiến hành công bố kết quả, trao giải Cuộc thi dự định vào tháng 10/2021.
- Các Clip lọt vào vòng chung khảo sẽ được Ban Tổ chức sử dụng và soạn để xây dựng thành một sản phẩm tuyên truyền cho Đề án hỗ trợ thông báo, tuyên truyền về dân tộc, tôn giáo năm 2021.

4. Cách tính điểm sản phẩm dự thi:
4.1. Vòng công chiếu:
- Điểm bình chọn là cứ để trao giải tuần, điểm bình chọn được tính theo số like và share của tác phẩm trên TikTok.
- Quy định: 1 bình chọn yêu thích (like) tương đương 1 điểm, 1 san sớt tương đương 2 điểm trên nền tảng TikTok.
Tổng điểm bình chọn = Số yêu thích (like) x 1 + Số san sớt x 2.
+ đẳng cấp các tác phẩm được tính theo tổng điểm bình chọn từ cao xuống thấp.
+ tuốt luốt bài chia sẻ tác phẩm dự thi từ TikTok Tinh Hoa Việt Nam phải gắn hasdtag #tinhhoavietnamtwd mới được tính hợp lệ.
4.2. Vòng chung khảo:
- Điểm số của mỗi bài dự thi được tính theo công thức:
Tổng điểm = Điểm bình chọn x 30% + Điểm Ban Giám Khảo chấm x 70%.
- Điểm do Ban giám khảo chấm (thang điểm 10) chấm dực trên các tiêu chí:
+ Nội dung phù hợp với chủ đề cuộc thi (2 điểm).
+ Sự sáng tạo trong nội dung kịch bản và hình thức bộc lộ (3 điểm).
+ Hình ảnh đẹp, âm thanh hay, ăn nhập với nội dung (3 điểm).
+ Các ưu tiên khác (lời bình, phụ đề, số diễn viên, thông điệp ...) (2 điểm).
- Điểm bình chọn (thang điểm 10) được quy đổi từ đẳng cấp bình chọn trên Website cuộc thi:
+ Quy định: 1 bình chọn hợp thức tương đương 1 điểm.
Tổng điểm bình chọn = Số bình chọn x 1
+ đẳng cấp bình chọn các tác phẩm được tính theo tổng điểm bình chọn từ cao xuống thấp.

III. Cơ cấu giải thưởng

1. Giải tuần:
- Mỗi tuần có 1 giải tác phẩm có bình chọn cao nhất tuần trên TikTok: 2.000.000 đồng. (8 tuần)

2. Giải chung cuộc:
- 1 giải nhất: 15.000.000 đồng.
- 1 giải nhì: 10.000.000 đồng.
- 1 giải ba: 5.000.000 đồng.
- 2 giải khuyến khích: 3.000.000 đồng.
Các tác giả/ nhóm tác giả có sản phẩm đại giải nhất, nhì, ba, khuyến khích của cuộc thi sẽ được nhận bằng khen của Ban Chấp hành Trung ương Đoàn, tiền thưởng và biểu trưng.

3. Giải thưởng khác:
- 1 giải cho tỉnh, thành đoàn, đoàn trực thuộc có số lượng sản phẩm dự thi nhiều nhất: 5.000.000 đồng.
- 1 giải cho trường có số lượng sản phẩm dự thi nhiều nhất: 5.000.000 đồng.
- 1 giải cho sản phẩm có nhiều bình chọn nhất trên website: 3.000.000 đồng.
- 1 giải dự đoán tác phẩm giải nhất: chấm dứt vòng thi tuần, các tác phẩm chung khảo sẽ được đăng tải lên Facebook Cổng thông tin Trung ương Đoàn TNCS Hồ Chí Minh để mọi người dự đoán tác phẩm sẽ đoạt giải Nhất của cuộc thi, duyệt y hình thức bình luận trực tiếp dưới bài viết, ghi tên tác phẩm. Sau khi chấm vòng chung khảo, bình luận nào hợp lệ sớm nhất và đúng với kết quả cuộc thi sẽ được 1 phần thưởng tiền mặt và quà của ban tổ chức với tổng trị giá: 5.000.000 đồng.


IV. Quy định khác

- Ban tổ chức có quyền dùng các sản phẩm dự thi cho các mục đích tuyên truyền hợp pháp khác và không phải trả thêm bất kỳ chi phí nào.
- Nếu xác định video clip đạt giải thưởng vi phạm Thể lệ, tùy theo mực độ nghiêm trọng, ban tổ chức sẽ quyết định thu hồi Giải thưởng và thí sinh phải chịu mọi nghĩa vụ nảy.
- Ban tổ chức không chịu nghĩa vụ trong trường hợp bài dự thi của thí sinh bị TikTok xóa bỏ do vi phạm tiêu chuẩn về cộng đồng.
- Đối với các vấn đề khiếu nại, BTC có quyền chung cuộc trong việc giải quyết các khiếu nại và người dự thi phải tuân theo quy định rút cuộc đó. Nếu khiếu nại không có căn cứ hoặc không đúng quy định, BTC giải sẽ xem xét và có thể có hình thức xử lý đối với đối tượng khiếu nại. Mọi hoài nảy thêm trong quá trình giải quyết khiếu nại do bên khiếu nại chịu nghĩa vụ.
- Trong quá trình tổ chức cuộc thi, nếu gặp những vấn đề nảy sinh ngoài quy định của Thể lệ này, Ban Tổ chức Cuộc thi sẽ coi xét sửa đổi, bổ sung nội dung cho phù hợp với tình hình thực tại và sẽ thông báo chính thức trên website cuộc thi.
