Looking for grants for minority women in business - want to grow business

I'm looking for grants for minority women in business. I come from an ethnic minority background and have successfully started a business from scratch thanks to this incredibly helpful forum. I now want to grow the business into something big and need more money. I have satisfactory access to credit but could to with improving my credit to get more money. I was interested in finding a minority grant which would help me to employ more people and buy more stock. Having a grant would be better because I would not have to repay the money and all of it could go towards the business. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

As a minority women in business you can apply for a SBA loan, in my opinion if you already have experience in running a successful business you will be eligible for the loan.

Another program I highly recommend is the SBA's 8(a) Business Development program. This program can help minority-owned businesses to grow by drawing on the experience of one-to-one business counselling, training workshops, as well as management and technical guidance, this can really supercharge your business like it did mine.

To be eligible for this program you have to belong to a minority group like African American, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian Pacific Americans or Subcontinent Asian Americans. You must also provide evidence of being exposed to bias or discrimination as well as being economically disadvantaged. If you are interested in the SBA 8(a) Program you should contact their local SBA district office.
