My family could really use some help......please

In late October, in the same week I started a new job, my husband was hospitalized with what he thought was a kidney stone. It wasn't. Imaging showed a 15 cm tumor in his liver. After an emergency room visit subsequent to the release from this stay, he was flown to another facility and after stabilization, it was confirmed that the tumor was advanced primary liver cancer. Because of time taken off to help him, I was let go from my job(but should be rehired in March) and my husband is on short term disability. This cover most of our bills, but amount will get less and less as the weeks go on. I am so overwhelmed with everything, especially my husband's health. All of my energy is focused on him making it and living many more years to come. If anyone can help us out, we would so greatly appreciate it.

Homebody Knows (The Trouble I've Seen)

My husband is in the hospital. He started vomiting blood and now is running a fever they can't break. He says he is very weak and I am very frightened. Things are all going wrong at once here. We really could use the help.

He was discharged 1/24. No more episodes of blood vomiting, but he did lose another pound. That's not good for someone in his condition. If only we could get some help with our largest bill, that would be great.

He FINALLY had his radioembolization yesterday. As we 'speak', millions of Y90 spheres are within his tumor, hopefully, shrinking it. We won't know for a few weeks.

Losing muscle like crazy and doesn't have much of an appetite, though he is eating. I go back to work in 2 weeks and I hate leaving him. {{sigh}}

His appetite is so unpredictable. I cook and he says he wants to eat but just doesn't have an appetite. If only someone would help us, then I'd be able to stay home with him. I start that new job next Monday and am so scared of him needing me and me not being there.

He had an appointment with his liver specialist yesterday and his prognosis is listed as poor. Can anyoone just pay for one year of health insurance for me, so that I may stay home with him?? I'm not sure he has much time

His first radioembolization didn't work so they scheduled another one for 4/10. It was cancelled at the very last minute because his bloodwork numbers(liver function tests) were extremely high. Repeating labs this week to see of they can reschedule it. He's starting to tell me he's losing hope and that breaks my heart.

I guess no one is going to help us, but that's okay. Having people just listen is help in and of itself. The stress of trying to hold down a job and take care of everything else is taking it's toll on me and I feel like crying all the time.

Well, another bump in the road for my husband. He is spending Easter in the hospital due to intractable pain and a very low blood count necessitating 2 units of blood transfused. A scan showed his tumor grew and that the cancer also spread more into his liver and to his lungs as well. For once, I wish we would get good news

It was confirmed today that his cancer has indeed spread to his lungs. A bone scan and CAT scan are scheduled for Monday to see if it spread anywhere else, then the docs will determine best treatment course.

Well he went yesterday for his results. No cancer in his bones, however, his bilirubin was extremely high so they admitted him in order to monitor. Also, his abdomen was filled with fluid so they had to do what's called a paracentesis to remove some(2 liters in total). No more targeted therapy for his tumor and if they can't get his bilirubin under control, they won't even be able to give him the Lenvima. We're running our of viable options. He sounds good. I just wish I could be there with him. I'm still considered in training for my job so I can't miss any time and we NEED this insurance. What he needs now is a miracle.

Well, he is now in liver failure and his kidneys aren't functioning well. The cancer has spread throughout his liver and the nodules in his lungs are spreading in the lungs as well. If his bilirubin continues to trend upwards, he will deteriorate fast. He sounds very weak and tired. The hospital is over an hour away. If his bilirubin goes up again tomorrow, I will make the trip to the hospital. He wanst to come home so he can die at home. I'm just completely numb right now.

He is home now with hospice care to start today.
