Need money to save my home

For the past six years, I have been trying to get a loan modification for the mortgage on my home and the lender who has changed three times keeps saying they do not see a hardship case.

Both my husband and I are on fixed incomes from SS.

We are both in our 60's and I have a heart condition and he is handicapped.

I have gone through HUD not to mention four different law firms who kept promising me they would get the modification and after a few months, they said there was nothing they could do the last one had me pay monthly for two years and after $15,000.00 told me there was nothing they could do.

At this point, the lender is moving to have the house foreclosed on My grandparents came to this country and worked hard and saved enough to buy the land and build this house in 1923.

They sacrificed to see their six children had a better life. Their three sons served our country in WW11 the youngest an army ranger who received commendations from the US and France for his gallantry in Normandy.

Three grandchildren also served in the armed forces, two great grandchildren are doctors, two are teachers and one a reverend.

We all are proud of our grandparents and this home is not just a home, fifth generations grew up in this house it was always grandma's house for Sunday dinners and holidays.

The original six children are gone now and a few grandchildren have joinec them but there are still some of us along with our children and grandchildren still have precious memories and still live here.

To stop this foreclosure I need $306,000.00 know this is a large amount but I do so want to save the house the court date is April 7 2017.

The lender has given me a bit more time to pay this mortgage my lawyer is trying to work out yet another modification I am hoping to be able to pay sone of the money so if they accept a modification it will be of a payment I can afford
