Single mother needs help

Hi everyone

U am a single mother to a new baby I have moved towns and I am totally on my own as I grew up in care I am awaiting my benefits and desperately need food and electric if anybody out there would be kind enough to help it would mean so much no matter his small

Hi thank you so much for your reply I'm at my wits end as to what I'm going to do, I've never asked for help off anybody especially strangers, however I thinks that's more to do with my pride and the fact I have lived alone since I was 13, I grew up in care from the age of 7weeks old till I couldn't take no more and Left when I was 13, I craved love so much I started dating a 19yr old who had his own place, that didn't last long as I tagged on to anybody who showed me a bit of attention, a few years ago I meet this guy who was really great at first at I thought my fairy tale ending had come true everything was perfect for 2yrs till I fell pregnant with our son. His reaction wasn't the 1 I was expecting and he told me right then and there he was having an affair and he didn't want our son.
I had to move house as the property was in his name, he didn't even come to the hospital when I was in labour he sees our son but only on his terms "when he can be bothered" as we both unemployed at the time we claimed benifits together, however when I moved I had to claim on my own. 1st time the DWP said they didn't receive my application for benifits, so I had to wait for another form second time they said they lost it, and 3rd time they received it but said it takes up to 26wks to proccess, I'm still waiting its been 17wks now I've had not a penny I've been going to food banks which I appreachiate but u don't really get much to make a meal out of. My electric and gas has fine and I'm running low on nappies and baby wipes plus baby milk...
As I grew up in care I found my mother but she was a heroin addict and a drinker and didn't even want to help herself it seems the lesson of having her kids taken didn't register with her, plus no way would I let her round my son, my father committed suiced around 13yrs ago but I've never meet him,
I've moved away to shield my son from the abuse I suffered myself, as a mother I want to protect my son the best way I could
So know I'm finding it really hard and jst thought to myself ask for help, what's the worst that could happened so I bit the bullet and did
