What is your business plan? The first step you must take is to create a thorough business plan to see if the sums add up. Once you've got your business plan you need funding. I agree, the economy is very lethargic at the moment and getting funding is nearly impossible.

To get the funding you should start with the banks. Make an appointment with a business manager so you can go through the business plan. If your business plan holds up to financial due diligence there is a good chance you could get the funding you need to start your business.

You could also try CrowdFunding to raise cash. Crowd Funding works by asking the general public for cash to start a business, in exchange the investors will get a gift or a share in the business. More and more startups are using this method to raise cash and it would be ideal for you.

You could also try asking friends and family for assistance. The key is your business plan. If you can convince your family and friends that a profit can be made they are likely to invest.
