You sound like a very proactive person so I would advise you to try and bounce back because it is possible. The first step you need to take is to look for all the Government help that's available. If you've lost your job through no fault of your own you could apply for unemployment benefits. As you're homeless and living on someones couch you could be eligible for rental assistance so you can get a place of your own.

You must try your utmost to motivate yourself so you can get a job. Having regular income coming in will help to improve your situation every month. You can use the money to pay off debt and become independent and then save for the future. You should also look at charities for help, charities such as the Salvation Army can help you get back on your feet.
