U.S. Government Grants?

Hi there, looks like this is a new forum, but figured I'd give it a shot. Does anyone have any good resources for obtaining government grants for a small business? I feel like there are gov't. grants available that people can apply for to start a business, but I really don't know where to start aside from doing google searches. If anyone has any information, it'd be much appreciated.

Have you tried the Small Business Administration department offered by the Government. They offer advice and guidance on how to get a SBA backed loan from different borrowers, they also have information on private grants which are available from certain states. Here is the link
