    This is a cool forum, I've been thinking about asking celebrities for money and now that I've finally decided to do it I want to know who the most charitable celebrity is ever. If anyone knows of any lists or names and contact details of generous celebrities I would be grateful. Any tips on how to contact these celebrities and then how to ask celebrities for money. I would love to hear from anyone who's actually done this and made money. So far it looks like a myth but I guess it's worth pursuing if other people have tried and succeeded. thanks

    It's definitely possible for people to get money from celebrities. Millionaires, billionaires, philanthropists, celebrities and even athletes and Hollywood Actors all give away money as financial assistance. They try to promote their brand by showing how good they are. The best way to contact these celebrities would be via email, you don't really want to spend a lot of money on postage stamps although the personal touch could convince a potential donor to give money.

    I agree, emailing is much cheaper than posting. Forbes has an excellent list of most generous celebrities. Some of the celebrities include actress Jami Gertz and her husband Antony Ressler who have so far given over $10 million, Herb Alpert has given more than $9 million and Mel Gibson has given just under $7 million.     Three celebrities that you need to contact are Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and Larry King. These three celebrities are very generous when it comes to giving money away. Just make sure that you've got a legitimate need and ask for help politely.
