I Need 1000 Dollars in a Week! What Can I Do

I'm not sure if anyone can help me, this looks like a really helpful forum. I'm going to cut right to the chase, I need 1000 dollars in a week, I really don't want to get into why I need the money but I just need some ideas. Please can someone help me, I have seven days to come up with the money so I can pay someone off. I borrowed some money and I've been meaning to pay it off but it's come to a point where the lender will inform my family and that's the last thing I want. I've got regular income but I don't have any savings or assets.

Sounds like you've got yourself in a right pickle, the quickest way I know is to sell any items you have on eBay.com. If you do have any valuables at all like designer clothes or shoes you could make some money. I have seen designer clothe being snapped up very quickly.

If you're looking for a realistic way yo make $1000 as soon as possible you need to get a loan. I am not sure how good your credit is but you can get a payday loan if you've got regular income coming in. Some payday loans offer bad credit loans and you might get an instant decision for $500 to $1000.

Have you thought about pawning any items? if you've got any valuables like electronics or game consoles then you get some value from them, you usually get a set amount of time to pay the money back otherwise they sell the items on to other people.

Have you thought about asking other friends for help? if you can get five people to lend you $200 each you could use the money. Bearing in mind you might not have to pay them interest you could be saving a lot of money.

Have you thought about facing your problems? if you don't have the money then explain to the lender and work out a plan. Why don't you inform your family members of your debt problem and just come clean, that way no one can bully you or blackmail you. Honesty is the best policy.

If you've got room have you thought about renting space out? You could rent a room out for $1000 a year or something like that, as long as the lodgers pays in advance. You'll be stuck with someone for a year however you'll get the money you need.

Thanks for the response, I've read through every post and the only one that seems likely is selling something or getting a payday loan. I have bad credit though, are there any companies which offer loans at really low rates?

If you've got bad credit and need $500 to $1000 you could get someone to cosign your loan, I'm sure there are a lot of companies out there that will offer you $1000 but the interest rates on these loans are really high, sometimes the Apr could be anything between 1000% to 4000%

I'm not sure if you'll be able to raise $1000 in a week but it's worth a shot. The more people you can reach the more money you can make. If you can think of ways to make the post go viral you could make more than $1000. Good Luck. I've included a video on how to cyberbeg effectively if there is such a think.

If you're really desperate for the $1000 have you thought about applying for credit cards, sometimes you can get cash advances. If you've got OK credit then there are some bad credit banks which offer credit to people who need money quickly. I suppose this will be cheaper than taking out a payday loan. I've got a list of credit card companies that you can apply to which offer quick decisions, sometimes these decisions are instant.

Have you thought about offering some sort of service? if you need $1000 in 7 days you need to make $142 per day, if you can wash 15 cars per day somehow and charge $10 per car you could make the money. Granted you would have to get supplied but it's worth a try, also try mowing lawns. Just go around your community or neighborhood and share your troubles, and ask if they can give you some money for odd jobs around the house, you'll be surprised at how accommodating people can be.

I've got some jewelry and I've taken this to my local pawn store, the man there was a despicable man and offered me only $200 for my necklace and earrings, I personally paid over $700 for this, I even showed him the receipt. I guess he saw the desperation on my face and took full advantage. I took the $200, I just need another $800 now.

I've already got a Capital One credit card, there was a zero percent offer on it when I took it out which made me call the company up and ask about cash advances. The operator explained that the zero percent was only eligible for balance transfers, I had $500.

Fortunately I found a friend whose got a credit card balance of over $2000 and he's willing to take the 0% offer and give me the full $500! I'm getting really close to that $1000 target.

After I read your suggestion about selling items on Craigslist I put some of my designer stuff on sale, I have to say it was really painful taking the picture and writing the summary to sell the items, anyway I had a Tommy Hilfiger watch which I bought for $150 which I put up for sale for $30, I put a few handbags and a designer Armani Sunglasses. This is what I like about this site, everyone is wiling to help each other out without judging or making crude remarks, when this thread started and I saw the question was posed by a women I was rather skeptical about the responses and I've seen other threads on the internet which are really filthy, anyway I hope you get your last $300 and pay off the lender and tell him to stop bullying and blackmailing you.

I totally agree, I actually posted this question on a few forum but this is where I got the best advice, I'll definitely be sharing with anyone I can.

Just a quick update, my friends have lent me $100, even though I wanted to avoid borrowing from friends I've really had no option with the deadline looming, this week has been one of the most stressful weeks of my life. I definitely need to smarted myself when it comes to money. I saw another thread on personal finance books and when this crisis is over I'm definitely going to invest some time learning. Everyone that I turned to ask me why I don't have savings and lately I've been asking myself the same question! Anyway I've got 2 days to come up with the remaining $200, so far I've sold some stuff on craigslist and I should be getting $120 soon, so I've only got $80. I've got $100 in my bank account so I will probably use that money to pay the !"$$^£ off.
